Job seekers: gather ‘round! Local employers are looking to fill permanent positions during the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce Job Fair on Friday, September 23 at Baker College of Flint.
Industries that will be represented include education, food service, health care, insurance, manufacturing, retail, and transportation, and more.
So far, 20 area employers have registered for the public event. They include:

“We’re excited to team up with such a diverse group of employers,” said Rhetta Hunyady, Vice President of Education and Training at the Flint & Genesee Chamber. “Attendees will be able to apply for entry-level positions ranging from phlebotomists and caregivers to cashiers and security guards. There’s going to be something for everyone.”
The Job Fair is free and open to the public. The event is from 9:30am to 12pm; it will begin at 8:30am for alumni of the TeenQuest and Career Edge pre-employment training programs. Job seekers are encouraged to register for the Job Fair by Friday, September 16, although walk-ins are welcome on the day of the event. Don’t forget to dress professionally and bring multiple copies of your résumé!
